I was watching a news program early in January and I learned that one of the top New Year’s resolutions for single people is to find a partner.   After this story, the news program went on to discuss how to best use online dating sites. I chuckle at this, not just because I am married and have never used an online dating site, but because I have been comparing dating and the process of finding a mate to finding a job for years. I find that the same process used to find a mate can be used to find a job. Know anyone who is single and jobless? Maybe it is because they are lacking some key things necessary. Welcome to 2015! This is the time of the year when folks are busy making resolutions. Professional folks are not any different. Every year seems to bring a slew of professional resolutions from becoming more organized to professional development. This is the year of leadership.   From figuring out what great leadership is, to becoming a great leader, my internet trolling has determined that 2015 is the year of the leader.   I am not an expert on leadership. I can only comment on my personal experiences and what I have learned about leadership from reading and coursework. I think that leadership is an art and a science all at once.
